How does Gurukul High’s pre-primary school curriculum work?

Gurukul High’s pre-primary curriculum is an integrated theme-based curriculum that follows a multi modal approach to ensure holistic development of children.

It is benchmarked with NEL Singapore and is in line with NCERT pre-school curriculum as prescribed by NEP 2020.

In pre-primary, we focus on six learning areas:
  • 1. Environment Sciences
  • 3. Numeracy and logic
  • 4. Motor skills and physical development
  • 5. Aesthetics and creative expression
What makes Gurukul High's approach unique for Pre-primary students?
Integrated Learning

English, Maths, EVS, Socio-emotional skills, Creative Arts, and Motor skills are integrated with a common theme to deliver holistic learning.

Student-centric Teaching

The curriculum is designed based on how children in this age group learn (play, listen to stories, explore, and create).

Thematic Approach

Seven themes throughout the year help children connect their learning to the real world, think deeply, and retain concepts for a long time.

Multi Modal Delivery

Multiple modes of learning (audiovisual, activities, listening, and writing) help engage all children and create better connections to life.

Class 4

In this grade, learning and assessment shift towards written assessment with only a few oral assessments ensuring a definite shift towards abstract concepts.

Class 5

In this grade, the curriculum focuses on empowering students with the values of sharing and caring for other human beings, living beings, and planet Earth. They also develop deep skills of thinking, analysing, and applying their learning in real-life situations.

Class 8

In this grade, the focus is to holistically enhance their learning of concepts via projects and laboratory work to prepare better for high school and board exams.

In Gurukul High, education is value-driven and expressed through our four core values which are woven into the curriculum and are at the core of our DNA. They are not symbolic, we live and breathe them.Through our values we encourage independent learning, empowering students to take on responsibility.
