Gurukul High’s Social Science program focuses on helping students build a better relationship with the society they live in by teaching them how we behave, interact, and influence the world.
The program in primary grades is offered in combination with Environmental Science (EVS). As children progress to middle and high school, we follow our unique NCERT+/SCERT+ approach.
Units of study are broken down into four strands: Geography, History, Social and Political Life/Civics, and Economics.
Images, videos, timelines, and graphic organisers of an event, time, or place. This helps them in understanding and retaining the concepts better.
Maps and timelines are widely used by students to locate where and when a given event took place and provide context.
Students are encouraged to think outside the box and make connections to their life using the concepts being taught.
